Senior Vice President, Access Construction and Engineering
Robert was appointed Senior Vice President of Access Construction & Engineering (ACE) in November 2024. In this role, he leads a team of over 14,000 professionals who engineer, build, and operate AT&T’s converged (Fiber and 5G) networks. His team is collaboratively responsible for the output and outcomes associated with AT&T’s annual multi-billion-dollar capital investment strategy. AT&T’s 5G+ mid-band spectrum covers more than 270 million people nationwide, and the company is currently executing its largest wireless network modernization project, with plans to have 70% of wireless network traffic flowing across open-capable platforms by late 2026.
Robert also leads the fixed broadband (fiber) build program. This year, his team plans to pass 30 million customer locations with fiber. They aim to continue this industry-leading momentum for years to come. As the demand for connectivity and bandwidth grows, transforming the converged network is vital. This transformation is essential to providing customers with the network performance and connectivity experience they expect from AT&T.
Prior to his current role, Robert led the Global Connections and Alliance Management team, where he was responsible for over $3 billion in third-party wholesale relationships to help grow AT&T’s wireless and wireline service revenues and expand the associated margins.
Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership expertise to the Access Construction and Engineering (ACE) team, with more than 20 years of experience in various roles, including capital management, service delivery and assurance, technology development, sourcing, network planning, engineering, and operations.
Robert holds an MBA from Georgia State University (GSU) and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida State University (FSU). Robert and his wife, Mindy, have two children and currently reside in Flower Mound, Texas.
