Senior Director of Business Intelligence
Matthew Kohl is the Senior Director of Business Intelligence at SBA Communications, where he leads a team of professionals responsible for AI and BI initiatives across the organization. With more than 13 years at SBA, Matthew has driven the use of cutting-edge AI, cloud, and GIS technologies—including Azure OpenAI, AWS (Claude), and Esri’s ArcGIS —to deliver data-driven solutions that optimize operations, reduce expenses, and generate new revenue streams. His team develops interactive map applications for real estate and business transactions, manages cloud-based data infrastructure, and creates executive dashboards in PowerBI for C-level decision-making.
Under Matthew’s leadership, his teams have implemented innovative AI solutions for generating legal documents, and have added significant revenue through strategic lease analysis for colocations and new builds.
Matthew holds a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from UNC Wilmington.
