Matt Kalmus is a Managing Director and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group within the Technology, Media & Telecom practice – and a leader in BCG’s ‘Center for Broadband’ which brings together leading-edge expertise across public sector, telco, and digital equity experts.
Over his career, Matt has extensive experience serving clients across the Telecom industry: Providers spanning Cable, Fixed & Mobile operators, and Satellite Communications, Private Equity (buy and sell side), and States.
The last few years Matt has been focused on engagements across the Telecom lifecycle – from building faster/more effectively to copper-recovery to shut down legacy COs extract value from the old assets. Driving AI at scale to truly impact Telecom has been a big part of the last year: from customer service and retention tools driving real frontline impact, to product lifecycle and migration support, to deploying agentic solutions to rapidly improve CX and reduce volumes.
Matt has also co-authored a number of papers on the evolution of digital infrastructure and closing the digital divide.
