Stephen Banks is a founding member of KMB Design Group, where he provides executive leadership for the firm’s Telecom and Electric Vehicle (EV) Divisions. With over 30 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer and executive, Stephen brings a unique combination of technical expertise and strategic insight to large-scale infrastructure projects across both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Under his leadership, KMB has successfully completed more than 45,000 wireless infrastructure projects, including over 19,000 small cell deployments, supporting the nation’s growing need for reliable and high-speed connectivity.
In 2012, Stephen spearheaded the launch of KMB’s EV Division. Since then, the team has completed over 300 EV charging station projects nationwide. A recent highlight includes work with the City of St. Augustine, Florida, where Stephen led efforts in EV equipment selection and detailed design for 31 dual-port Level 2 chargers across 11 hub charging locations, helping advance the city’s sustainable transportation goals.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Sunderland, studied Contract Law at the University of Leeds, and is a licensed Chartered Professional Engineer.
