Associate General Counsel
Roy Litland is an associate general counsel supporting Verizon’s network team. He provides legal and policy support for Verizon’s advocacy, bidding efforts, and grant administration for federal and state subsidized broadband deployment programs. Roy also works on strategic mergers and acquisitions, and internet traffic exchange agreements
Previously, Roy was a member of Verizon’s federal regulatory team, where he covered issues including copper retirement, product discontinuance, pole attachments, the open internet, broadband performance testing, and access to multiple tenant environments.
Before joining Verizon, Roy was an associate at Steptoe & Johnson in the District of Columbia, and a law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He earned an undergraduate degree from Harvard College and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
