Assistant Bureau Chief
Jessica Greffenius is Assistant Chief of the FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Jess joined the FCC in 2016 as an attorney advisor. Since then, she has worked on a range of spectrum policy, national security, and other wireless communications matters and served in numerous leadership roles. In 2025, she spent several months serving as an acting legal advisor to FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez on wireline and public safety issues before returning to the Wireless Bureau. Prior to joining the Commission, she was an associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where she advised clients on proceedings before the FCC and other state and federal agencies. Jess earned a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law.
