Chief Operating Officer
David Tokunaga is Chief Operating Officer of Strategic Venue Partners (SVP), where he is responsible for driving growth in the company’s mission to transform venues with fast, reliable and future-ready wireless network solutions. He brings more than 25 years of wireless industry experience to the role, specializing in telecom services and products for Fortune 500 brands.
Before joining SVP, Tokunaga was the General Manager of Boingo Wireless’ Enterprise business unit and has held senior roles at Qualcomm, Nokia and Sprint.
Tokunaga holds multiple patents in mobile platforms, is a former board advisor for National University’s Graduate School of Engineering and past co-chair of the CDG’s Global Handset Requirements for Code Division Multiple Access standards committee.
Tokunaga has an MBA from Brunel University London and a bachelor’s degree in law and marketing from San Diego State University.
